      <image:title>Musicians - Theo Small - Theo Small was born in Sydney, Australia and grew up as part of a musical family. Although not professionals, his parents were both keen amateur recorder players and so much of Theo’s early life was spent playing consort music with his family. After graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Performance - Recorder and Traverso), Theo moved to Germany to begin a Masters of Music at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, studying with Prof. Marten Root. Theo has performed with groups such as De Nederlandse Bachvereniging, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and Orchestra and Musica Sequenza and worked with conductors such as Phillipe Herreweghe, Neal Peres da Costa and Brett Weymark. Alongside his career as a performing musician, Theo has worked as a cabinet maker and an audio technician.</image:title>

      <image:title>Musicians - Annie Gard - Annie Gard was born in Australia, where she completed her Bachelor's degree with first class honours at the Sydney Conservatory of Music. Two years later she received her Master's degree from The Juilliard School in New York. Various invitations brought her to Europe, where she played under the direction of Masaaki Suzuki at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. This was followed by engagements with The English Concert and with Boston Early Music Festival, as well as Pinchgut Opera in Sydney. She has performed at festivals including William Christie's Festival Dans Les Jardins in France and the Festival Teatro Nuovo in New York. Annie currently lives and works in Germany.</image:title>

      <image:title>Musicians - Thomas Fields - The gambist and cellist Thomas Fields was born and raised in Minneapolis, USA. After studying cello at the Eastman School of Music and the Manhattan School in New York, where he was already intensively involved in historical performance practice on cello and viola da gamba, he moved to Bremen in 2017 to continue his education at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen with Prof. Hille Perl and as a Meister student with Prof. Friederike Hermann at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. He also studied musicology at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China. He has attended master classes with Vittorio Ghielmi, Paolo Pandolfo and Friederike Heumann, among others, and has played with ensembles such as the Lyra Baroque Orchestra, China Philharmonic Cellos, the Bremen Baroque Consort and the Ensemble Weserrenaissance ( conducted by Manfred Cordes).</image:title>

      <image:title>Musicians - Johannes Festerling - Johannes Festerling received his first musical training at the Kreismusikschule Wernigerode in the Harz Mountains. He studied classical guitar with Prof. Jens Wagner at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen, where he was already intensively involved in performance practice on historical guitar and lute instruments. He subsequently took up studies in early music with Prof. Joachim Held and has since performed regularly both as a soloist and as a continuo player, including with the European Hanseatic Ensemble (Manfred Cordes), the Boys' Choir Unser Lieben Frauen Bremen (Ulrich Kaiser) and various chamber music ensembles. In 2020 he was cultural ambassador for the state of Bremen at the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of German unity. He has received much encouragement and inspiration from master classes with renowned lutenists such as Nigel North, Paul O'Dette and Evangelina Mascardi.</image:title>

Obwohl sie keine Profis waren, waren seine Eltern beide begeisterte Amateur-Blockflötenspieler und so verbrachte Theo einen Großteil seines frühen Lebens mit dem Spielen von Consort-Musik mit seiner Familie. Nach seinem Abschluss als Bachelor of Music (Performance) mit den Hauptfächern Blockflöte und Traverso am Sydney Conservatorium of Music zog Theo nach Deutschland, um an der Hochschule für Künste Bremen einen Master of Music zu beginnen und Traverso bei Prof. Marten Root zu studieren. Als Interpret ist Theo mit Gruppen wie Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and Orchestra, De Nederlandse Bachvereniging und Musica Sequenza aufgetreten und hat mit Dirigenten wie Phillipe Herreweghe, Neal Peres da Costa und Brett Weymark zusammengearbeitet. Er konzertiert in ganz Europa und Nordamerika, u.a. bei Festivals wie dem Utrecht Early Music Festival, dem Heinrich-Schütz-Musikfest und den Residenzwochen München. Nach seinem Studienabschlüssen in modernen Cello in den USA studierte er bei Prof. Hille Perl (Viola da Gamba) und Prof. Olaf Reimers (historisches Violoncello) an der Hochschule für Künste Bremen. Außerdem schloss er ein Meisterklassenstudium im Fach Viola da Gamba an der Hochschule für Musik Würzburg bei Prof. Friederike Heumann mit der Note summa cum laude ab.</image:title>

      <image:title>Musiker - Johannes Festerling - Getragen von seiner Faszination für die Musik der Renaissance und des Barock widmet sich Johannes Festerling der reichen Klangwelt historischer Zupf-instrumente. Nach seinem Gitarrenstudium studierte er zunächst Laute mit Prof. Joachim Held an der Hochschule für Künste Bremen. Ausgezeichnet mit einem zweijährigen Stipendium der italienischen Regierung konnte er seine Ausbildung anschließend am renomierten Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rom bei Prof. Evangelina Mascardi fortsetzen. Als Solist und Continuo-Spieler ist Johannes Festerling regelmäßig mit namhaften Ensembles zu hören. Er gastierte bei bedeutenden Festivals wie dem Festival Oude Muziek in Utrecht, Urbino Musica Antica, den Residenzwochen München, den Greifswalder Bachwochen sowie dem Festival Stradella di Viterbo e Nepi. Im Jahr 2020 war er Kulturbotschafter für das Land Bremen bei den Feierlichkeiten zum 30. Jubiläum der Deutschen Einheit und in der Spielzeit 2024/25 war er Stipendiat der Deutschen Orchesterstiftung im Programm #MusikerZukunft.</image:title>
